2008 Pierce Dash, my current engine. This painting came about from photos taken around the station one day.
After close to two years off from painting (Moving, broken foot, child birth). This was a quick and fun painting to get me moving again. Most of my paintings take well over 20 hours. At just 7.5″x9″, “Pierce” took a little over 6 hours. I am always trying to loosen up and not stress every last detail. I wanted this painting to move quickly the end result was a more illustrative look than a lot of my other paintings. I had a lot of fun working on this one.
